This pro wrestling comedy classic is from Seattle in the 1950's. The great showman Gorgeous George takes on a masked palooka in a ring surrounded by water!!!!! The Gorgeous one revolutionized wrestling with his pseudo gay persona, "marcelled" hair and bringing a "second" into the ring spraying perfume.
In later years Muhammad Ali credited Gorgeous George with the idea behind his outlandish stunts to help sell tickets and create interest in his bouts. Apparently as a kid in Louisville, Ali was glued to the set each week for wrestling and was never the same after seeing George "cut promos" on his opponents. Ali later had an unfortunate and deadly dull match in Japan against wrestler Antonio Anoki and was once body slammed by Gorilla Monsoon!
