A craze in recent years on the West Coast has been the hybrid of lucha libre style pro wrestling mixed with burlesque and punk rock/hip hop music.
In Sf they called it Incredibly Strange Wrestling and the promoters ingeniously thought of passing out tortillas to ticket holders to throw at the participants and each other. Here in LA there is the fantastic troupe Lucha VaVoom and it's wildly entertaining. Here's a sample!
